Dark World - The Key Cards, Chapter IIΙ

And yet another Article about Key Cards in the Dark World Deck. If you haven't read the other two articles about Key Cards, you'd probably want to do so right now, just by clicking this and this link. Let's now discuss about our first Key Card (in this article), Dark Deal.

Dark Deal
Dark Deal is a Normal Trap Card which will make your opponent's Spell Cards work for your good! You see, when your opponent activates a Normal Spell Card, you can activate that card. By paying 1000 Life Points, the effect of your opponent's Spell Card will change to 'Your opponent discards 1 random card'. That's right! Not only do you get to negate your opponent's Spell Card's effect, but you also give it a brand new one that will work in your favour (remember that when Dark World Monsters are discarded to the graveyard from an opponent's card effect, they usually activate more than one effect)!
The DW Deck Types that this card can get in are mostly The Adreus Spammer (it uses Sillva and Goldd that activate their excellent effects when discarded to the graveyard thanks to the opponent) and The Dark World, however, it can be used in the other two versions as well, just be less effective.

Dark Armed Dragon
Now, I guess that we're all familiar with that name. I mean.. What a card! It was released some years ago in Phantom Darkness and it's still one of the most basic cards of the game, thanks to its stunning 2800 ATK and excellent effect. I guess that by now you will have all noticed that all the Dark World Monsters are DARK. Do you know what this means? That's right! That you can use Dark Armed Dragon effectively in the Dark World Deck! For those of you who don't know what Dark Armed Dragon does, he can be Special Summoned by having exactly 3 DARK Monsters in your graveyard. Furthermore, you can use his effect by removing one DARK Monster from your graveyard and destroy one of your opponent's cards. An excellent addition in any Dark World Deck, especially when you can easily control your Monster Count with Gate of the Dark World, don't you think?
The Dark World Deck Type that can make the most of this card really easily is The Miller. It will send Dark World monsters to your graveyard in a really fast pace, and as a result prepare the path for Dark Armed Dragon. The other 3 versions can use the card as well, but it might be dead in the Late Game, if your Graveyard is already filled with a serious number of Dark World Monsters!

The Viruses
And for the last cards we'll talk about we've got 'The Viruses'. We mentioned that name in the previous articles as well, and if you haven't found out what we're talking about yet, we're here to clarify everything for you! Ever heard of the dominant Crush Card Virus? A card able to take many opponents down, not only in Kaiba's hands, but also in any duelist's! Saddly enough, it was banned long ago. As a result, its 'cousins' decided to make up for its loss. The cards we'll talk about are Eradicator Epidemic Virus and Deck Devastation Virus! These two cards require the tribute of a 2500 and a 2000 ATK DARK Monster, respectively. Once activated, you get to check your opponent's hand and field for Spells and Traps (in case you've activated EED) or Monsters with 1500 or lower ATK (in case you've activated DDV). But that's not just it! You will also be able to destroy the cards of that kind (Spells or Traps, in case of EED and =< 1500 ATK Monsters in case of DDV) and keep checking the cards your opponent draws for the next three turns! Amazing, isn't it? Now you may think "A monster with such a high ATK Number? It will be hard!" Well, not really! All Four DW Deck Types are using the mighty Grapha, who has a total of 2700 ATK Points, which makes him the perfect tribute for both cards! But don't forget! The Adreus Spammer, and possibly The Dark World are also using Sillva and Goldd! Their 2300 ATK allows them to be tributed for the cost of DDV to be paid and if Gate of the Underworld is activate, for the cost of EEV as well! In summation, you just need one of your most powerful Dark Monsters to sneak your way through your opponent's plans and completely ruin them!
