Dark World - The Key Cards, Chapter II

This article forms the continuation of the last Strategy Guide named 'Dark World - The Key Cards'. If you haven't read the first Chapter yet, you would probably want to do so, just by clicking this link. The first card we'll talk about in this article is Brron, Mad King of Dark World.

Brron, Mad King of Dark World
Brron is another Dark World Monster, Level four, with an ATK of 1800. His effect allows him to discard any of your cards to the Graveyard, once he inflicts battle damage to your opponent's Life Points. You might now think, "That's useless, we've got tons of cards that can discard stuff". Well, to begin with, Brron is a cheap version of Fabled Raven. But that's not just it! He's also a great beatstick, which can hit the field with a total of 2100 ATK if the Field Spell is active, which means that he can destroy an important number of basic monsters, such as Reborn Tengu, The Agent of Miracles - Jupiter, Garoth, Jain, Zombie Master, etc. And unlike Goldd and Sillva, you don't have to wait for him to get discarded, you can just Normal Summon him, since he's a Level four monster! The DW Deck Types he can get in are basicly The Dark World and sometimes The Miller. Of course, he can form a tech choice in the other 2, but he won't be of that much assistance!

Into the Void
Continuing with the list, we've got a Normal Spell Card called Into the Void. This card is an amazing way to achieve draw power and in the same time discard your precious Dark World monsters in order to trigger their effects! You see, this card allows you to draw a card from your deck, provided that in the End Phase you'll discard your entire hand. So all you have to do is draw the card and then set every spell and trap card you need. Afterwards, you can just discard your DW Monsters and gain advantage through their effects. The way it's used is pretty similar to Card Destruction's, with the differences that Into the Void lets you discard your monsters in the End Phase, and that the effect applies only for the user, not the opponent as well. The DW Deck Types this card can be used in are basicly The Adreus Spammer and The Dark World. Using it in The Tour Guide to the Dark World could provide some assistance as well, but in The Miller it will be less useful.

Dragged Down into the Grave
And that's the last Key Card we'll be talking about today, Dragged Down into the Grave, which we'll refer to as "DDG". DDG is a Normal Spell Card which allows both players to view each others' hands and then discard one card from their opponents' hand. Afterwards, they both draw a new card. This card works pretty smoothly in the Dark World Deck. After you set all the appropriate Spell and Traps (so that your opponent can't see them), you activate DDG. Not only do you get to discard a card from your opponent's hand, not only do you get to use a Dark World Monster's effect BUT you also sneak into your opponent's strategies and reveal all of his hidden aces! That's right, all of these things with just one card. DDG can be used in practically every single DW Deck Type, since its effect is unique and benefits all versions of the Deck.

We'll continue the Discussion about the Dark World Deck's Key Cards in the following 'Strategy Guide' Article, in which we'll include the cards known as 'The Viruses'!
