Hello everybody! This is the continuation of the Combos List regarding the Plant Synchro Deck. Today, we'll talk about the most common combos you can make with Reborn Tengu in this deck, as far as Synchro Summoning is concerned. So let's begin!
Lonefire Tengu
For this combo, the two cards that have to be face-up on your side of the field are Lonefire Blossom and Reborn Tengu. First, you tribute the Lonefire Blossom for its effect, in order to Special Summon Spore from your Deck. Afterwards, you tune your Spore with the Tengu, and Special Summon T.G. Hyper Librarian. The effect of the Tengu that was sent to the graveyard is triggered, thus Special Summoning another Reborn Tengu on your side of the field. Next, you activate Spore's effect by banishing Lonefire Blossom in your graveyard, and you Special Summon Spore, now as a Level 4 Tuner Monster. You then Synchro Summon Scrap Dragon or Stardust Dragon (depending on your needs) by using Spore and Reborn Tengu. Tengu's effect is triggered and so is Librarian's effect. You set the chain so that you can Special Summon a Tengu first, and then draw a card thanks to Librarian (because you don't want to risk drawing your Tengu). And that's it! With just two cards, you've got 2 powerful Synchro Monsters, a Reborn Tengu and a new card at your hand!
Glowing Tengu
In this combo, all you need are a face-up Reborn Tengu and Glow-Up Bulb (which can be summoned either normally, or by cards like Lonefire Blossom/One for One). You first Synchro Summon T.G. Hyper Librarian, using both of your monsters. An additional Reborn Tengu is Special Summoned to your side of the field. You must then use Glow-Up Bulb's effect, by milling a card, in order to Special Summon it on your side of the field. Afterwards, you tune your Bulb and Tengu again, this time into Ally of Justice Catastor or Magical Android (depending on what you are running). Not only you get to Special Summon another Tengu from your deck, but you also get to draw a card thanks to T.G. Hyper Librarian, just like in the previous case. Interesting, ain't it?
One for all
For this combo, you are going to need 3 specific cards, but once you succeed in achieving it, there is almost no chance you can lose. Besides, by running 3 copies of Tengu and 2 Pots of Duality, it's pretty easy to assemble all 3 cards together: Dandylion, Reborn Tengu and One for One. First, you activate One for One, by discarding Dandylion (which allows you to Special Summon 2 Fluff Tokens), in order to Special Summon Spore from your deck! Next, you Normal Summon the Tengu and Synchro Summon into T.G. Hyper Librarian, by using him and Spore. Another Tengu is Special Summoned on your side of the field. Afterwards, you use Spore's effect, by banishing Dandylion, in order to Special Summon it back, this time as a Level 4 monster. Now, there are two major options: You can either tune your Spore with a Tengu and a token into Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier (which will leave you with Trishula, a token, a Tengu and Libarian, and will let you draw a card and banish 3 of your opponent's cards), or Stardust/Scrap Dragon (which will leave you with the Dragon, a Tengu, 2 tokens and a Librarian, along with the card you are going to draw thanks to Librarian's effect).
As you may have understood, Reborn Tengu is an important aspect in this deck, as far as Synchro Summoning is concerned. Use it wisely and you can swarm the field with fearsome monsters, while drawing additional cards and simultaneously dominating your opponent's resources!
See you all in the next and final article as far as Plant Synchro Combos are concerned, in which we are going to talk about Miscellaneous Combos that the deck can unleash!
Until then,
- Adreus.
