Local Feature Match - Finals: Twilight vs Destiny Diva Zero

Hello everybody! Here we are with the Finals of the Tournament, in which the
Twilight deck you saw in the previous Feature Match will go against a Destiny Diva Zero Deck, which aims to spam Synchros and the well-known replacement for Raigeki: Elemental HERO Absolute Zero! Let's begin!
Duel 1
Having won the dice roll the Zero player opted to go first, and began by discarding Destiny HERO - Malicious for Destiny Draw's cost, in order to draw 2 cards. He then set 1 monster and passed.
The Twilight player activated Charge of the Light Brigade, milling Glow-Up Bulb, Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress and Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior, in order to add to his hand Ehren, Lightsworn Monk. He Normal Summoned Ehren and used her effect after attacking the face-down monster. Glow-Up Bulb was flipped face-up and then sent back to its controller's deck. In the End Phase the Twilight player milled Tragoedia, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and Effect Veiler, thanks to Ehren's effect.
Back to the Zero player who drew for his turn and activated Reinforcement of the Army, thus adding Elemental HERO Stratos to his hand. He continued by Normal Summoning the monster in order to add Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude from his deck to his hand, and attacked Ehren to destroy it. He passed after setting 2 Spells or Traps.
The Twilight player activated Monster Reborn, targeting Lyla in his graveyard, but his opponent responded with Solemn Warning. He did nothing more and passed.
After Normal Summoning Diamond Dude, the Zero player used his effect to reveal Book of Moon and place it to the Bottom of his Deck. Afterwards, he activated his own Monster Reborn, targeting his opponent's Glow-Up Bulb and used all of his monsters to Synchro Summon Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. His opponent had no response, so the Zero player removed Allure of Darkness from his hand and Lyla from his graveyard. He moved on by declaring a direct attack, and once 2700 Damage was dealt, the Twilight player Special Summoned Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness and a 2700 ATK/DEF Token.
During his turn, the Twilight player milled Celestia, Lightsworn Angel in order to Special Summon Glow-Up Bulb from his graveyard. After taking some time to think, he tuned his Bulb and the Token to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon! Afterwards, he activated Monster Reincarnation, discarded Dark Hole for its cost and added BLS to his hand! He banished Tragoedia and Effect Veiler from his graveyard to Special Summon the monster he had just added to his hand. He entered his Battle Phase, attacked Trishula with Black Luster Soldier, attacked once again thanks to his effect, attacked directly with Gorz and then declared an attack with Stardust Dragon in order to win the duel, but his opponent responded with Call of the Haunted, Special Summoning Trishula from his graveyard and causing a replay to occur! The Twilight player moved on to his Main Phase 2 in which he set a face-down Spell or Trap and ended his turn.
During the following turn, the Zero player activated Miracle Fusion, fusing his face-up Trishula with Stratos in his graveyard, in order to Summon Elemental HERO Absolute Zero! He entered his Battle Phase and sent Zero to attack Stardust, something which triggered Zero's Raigeki Reaction, once it was sent to the graveyard. And what we mean by "Raigeki Reaction" is that every monster on his opponent's side of the field got immediately destroyed! In Main Phase 2, he used another copy of Miracle Fusion, this time using Absolute Zero & Diamond Dude in his graveyard, to Summon another Absolute Zero from his extra deck! He set a face-down Spell or Trap and passed, having cleared his opponent's field off the monsters!
All the Twilight player did during his turn was Normal Summon Card Trooper and use his effect to mill Effect Veiler, Necro Gardna and Chaos Sorcerer.
The Zero player attacked the Trooper, but his opponent banished Necro Gardna from his graveyard to negate the attack!
The Twilight player used Trooper's effect once again, sending Plaguespreader Zombie, Foolish Burial and Honest to the graveyard.
The Zero player made another attempt to destroy Trooper by attacking it - this time successfully - which allowed the Twilight player to draw a card.
But it was all over during the next turn, when the Twilight player activated Heavy Storm and chained his own Beckoning Light to add Judgment Dragon, Black Luster Soldier and Honest to his hand! The Zero player conceded with no second thought, knowing that his low life-points count couldn't provide him with another turn!
A destructive Beckoning Light gives the Twilight player a huge advantage during Late Game, which earns him Game 1! After both duelists were done with the Side Deck choices, Duel 2 began. Would the Zero player even the score, or would the Twilight player with the second game as well, thus winning the Tournament? We would soon find that out!

Duel 2
The Zero player, who opted to go first, kicked things off by activating Allure of Darkness, which allowed him to draw 2 cards and banish Sangan from his hand. He set 1 monster and passed.
The Twilight player set a monster as well and ended his turn.
The Zero player Normal Summoned Deep Sea Diva and used her effect to Special Summon Lost Blue Breaker from his deck. He then flipped Necro Gardna face-up and tuned all of his monsters to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon. Stardust Dragon attacked into a face-down Ryko, which didn't use the 'Destroy a card effect', but just milled two copies of Solar Recharge and a Judgment Dragon. The Zero player ended his turn after setting two face-down Spells or Traps.
The Twilight player, clearly annoyed by his mills, Normal Summoned Card Trooper and called priority to use its effect and mill Necro Gardna, Maxx "C" and Foolish Burial. He then set a Spell or Trap but when he ended his turn, his opponent destroyed his newly set Beckoning Light with Mystical Space Typhoon!
Back to the Zero player, who drew for his turn and attacked Card Trooper with Stardust Dragon, forcing the Twilight player to draw a card. After setting another Spell or Trap, he ended his turn.
The Twilight player Normal Summoned Lumina, Lightsworn Sorceress and set 1 Spell or Trap, without using his monster's effect. During his End Phase, he milled Honest, Solar Recharge and Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, thanks to Lumina's effect, but his opponent had another Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the second Beckoning Light which he had just set!
The Zero player declared an attack with Stardust against Lumina, but his opponent's Necro Gardna stopped it from going through. After setting a Spell or Trap card, the Zero player passed.
The Twilight player, activated Dark Hole in order to force Stardust Dragon to use its effect. Then, he Normal Summoned Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer but when he dealt 1800 points of Battle Damage to his opponent and tried to use its effect (in order to Banish Stardust Dragon), his opponent responded with Hero's Rule 2, negating the monster's effect and destroying it! In Main Phase 2, the Twilight player activated Gold Sarcophagus and banished Judgment Dragon from his deck, in order to add it to his hand two turns later. In the End Phase he milled Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, Chaos Sorcerer and Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness, thanks to Lumina's effect, but D.D. Crow was chained to Wulf's effect so it wasn't eventually Special Summoned. Stardust Dragon was Special Summoned to the Zero player's side of the field and play passed to him.
He Normal Summoned another Deep Sea Diva and used her effect to Special Summon another copy from his Deck! Afterwards, he overlayed the two Divas to Xyz Summon Gachi Gachi Gantetsu, which boosted Stardust's attack to 2900! Stardust attacked Lumina and the Zero player ended his turn.
The Twilight player activated Allure of Darkness to draw 2 cards and banish Chaos Sorcerer. Next he activated a second Gold Sarcophagus, this time for Black Luster Soldier. But it was all no use, as the next turn the Zero player Tribute Summoned Destiny HERO - Dasher, by offering Gachi Gachi as a tribute.

An early game Stardust Dragon Summon and responses to almost every move of the Twilight player, gave the Zero player control of the field during the whole game and earned him the win of Duel 2. Both duelists were a win away from the prizes and none of them was able to afford a loss. After some further Side Deck changes, both players were ready for the Final Duel of the tournament!

Duel 3
Having lost the previous duel, the Twilight player chose to go first and kicked things off by Normal Summoning Jain, Lightsworn Paladin. During the End Phase he milled Charge of the Light Brigade and Lyla, thanks to his effect, and play passed to the Zero player!
The Zero player began his turn by drawing a card and activating Pot of Duality, which revealed Miracle Fusion, Torrential Tribute and Destiny Draw. He picked Destiny Draw and activated it by discarding Diamond Dude, in order to draw two cards from his deck. He then set a monster and passed.
The Twilight player sent Jain to attack the face-down Plaguespreader Zombie and destroy it. In the End Phase he milled Effect Veiler and Gorz.
The Zero player Normal Summoned Deep Sea Diva and used her effect to Special Summon Lost Blue Breaker from his deck. Then, he used Mind Control to take his opponent's Jain and used all three monsters to Synchro Summon Trishula, which banished Monster Reborn from the Twilight player's hand and Lyla from his graveyard. After declaring a direct attack with the fearsome WATER Monster and setting a Spell or Trap, the Zero player ended his turn.
The Twilight player began by activating Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy his opponent's set Hero's Rule 2. Then, he Normal Summoned Lumina and used her effect by discarding Necro Gardna in order to Special Summon Jain. He ended his turn really disappointed, as he milled two copies of Kycoo, Solar Rechagre, Allure of Darkness and Beckoning Light.
The Zero player used Miracle Fusion in order to banish Diva and Diamond Dude from his graveyard and Special Summon Absolute Zero! Then, he Tribute Summoned Destiny HERO Malicious, offering Zero as a tributing, thus causing the previously mentioned Raigeki Reaction, which destroyed all monsters his opponent's controlled. Then, he placed a card to the top of his deck, in order to Special Summon Plaguespreader Zombie from his Graveyard and tune the Zombie with Malicious in order to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon. He declared direct attacks with both of his monster's, but Trishula's attack was stopped by Necro Gardna.
The Twilight player activated Monster Reincarnation by discarding Wulf and added Gorz to his hand. He set a monster and passed.
The Zero player drew for his turn and Attacked with Stardust Dragon to destroy a face-down Glow-Up Bulb. He chose not to attack with Trishula, knowing that his opponent was holding a Gorz which could mean a total change of the game's outcome.
The Twilight player set a monster, once again and ended his turn.
The Zero player declared another attack with Stardust Dragon, this time against a face-down Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, which used its milling effect in order to send Celestia, Gardna and Solar Recharge from the top of the Twilight player's deck to the graveyard. Knowing that he couldn't keep delaying, he also declared an attack with Trishula and forced the Twilight player to drop his Gorz and summon a 2700 ATK/Def Token! He set a monster in Main Phase 2 and then ended his turn.
The Twilight player's Token clashed with the opposing Trishula, and then Gorz destroyed Stardust Dragon. After setting a card at his backrow, the Twilight player ended his turn.
All the Zero player did for his turn was activate Pot of Duality, in order to reveal Miracle Fusion, Dark Armed Dragon and Necro Gardna from the top of his deck and add Miracle Fusion to his hand.
Back to the Twilight player who set a monster and used Glow-Up Bulb's effect by milling Solar Recharge. He tuned the Bulb and Gorz to Synchro Summon Scrap Dragon. Then, he set a monster and used Scrap's effect by targeting his newly set monster and his opponent's set monster. Scrap's effect resolved, thus destroying the Twilight player's Card Trooper (which got him a draw) and the Zero player's Sangan (which got him Diva from his deck). After declaring a direct attack with Scrap Dragon and dealing 2800 of Battle Damage to his opponent, the Twilight player passed.
The Zero player was determined to win that duel and therefore the whole match the following turn. Having set up the perfect hand, he began by activating Dark Hole. He then Normal Summoned Deep Sea Diva and activated her effect. His opponent chained Maxx "C" but it didn't matter, as the Zero player summoned another Diva, Xyz Summoned Gachi Gachi Gantetsu and banished Trishula & Zero from his graveyard, in order to bring another Elemental HERO Absolute Zero out, who wiped out the remaining of the Twilight player's life points.

Both players extended their hands and congratulated each other for a really intense and interesting match. Thanks to his greatly formed hand and his opponent's bad mills the Zero player wins the 3rd duel and the whole match, thus becoming the Champion of that tour.

Good job to both players and we'd suggest they keep doing what they love the most: playing the game!
See you soon, everybody, in the next Strategy Article!
