Card Profile - Resue Rabbit

Here we are with another Card Profile - this time of a card that hasn't been released yet but is already well known among many duelists! After Rescue Cat got banned, her cousin, Rescue Rabbit, took over her position! And once Photon Shockwave is released, you'll see him being played in many decks. The reason?

This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. During your Main Phase: You can banish this face-up card; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Those monsters are destroyed during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be used once per turn.

Yeah, you're right! This is that card's effect.  Now, if the "Normal" part makes you think that the card is nothing in comparison to the cat, think of the decks that this card could bring to an upper level. The most vivid example is the one of the Gladiator Beasts. By using Rescue Rabbit, you can bring two Gladiator Beast Andals at once and either go for Essedarii, or Xyz Summon into a Utopia/Steelswarm Roach, or even combine them with other Gladiator Beasts in order to summon Gyzarus or Heraklinos. Pretty good, isn't it? But reviving decks is not all that this card can do! This card can even form a brand new deck, the well known Rabbit Dinos! The purpose of this deck is to Spam Rescue Rabbit as much as possible in order to summon powerful Xyz Monsters, especially Evolkaiser Lagia - a new Xyz Monster coming in Photon Shockwave which requires Dinosaurs as Xyz Materials. This can be done through several procedures, such as removing the Rabbit from play with Gold Sarcophagus or even its own effect, and then special summoning it by using Leviair the Sea Dragon (Tour Guides are still great to pull some combos off).

Having said all the above, I'm sure that you are now aware of that card's power. Be prepared to see this guy several times during that format, either on your opponent's side of the field, or even your own!
